‘Build Your Throne’ workshop participants learned some new skills in up-cycling and upholstery as they transformed a few old cast-away chairs into beautiful & functional ‘thrones’. Completed thrones were on sale at tart through December 2012 to benefit HEAP Bozeman’s up-cycling & educational programs.

Taking a cue from the cooking shows where the chefs are given a few odd ingredients with the task of creating something both beautiful and delicious, a design vision was chosen for each chair’s new look. Here are some of the results:
A dramatic transformation from dull & broken to colorful Shabby Chic!
Broken cane rocking chair seat replaced with burlap organic coffee bag upholstery
A trio of harp back dining chairs (1 of 3 pictured) look svelte in new black paint & silver upholstery
